DK,

Thanks for the lengthy answer. I think fighting in depth with elements is less intuitive than outnumbering and out flanking opponent battle lines. I have some new tactics and formations I'd like to try out.

I would suggest that the typical starter armies be matched historical pairs that give a good game. Could there be a posting here or on Meshwesh of these typical matches? You could use the armies you have already used in the demo games at the conventions. That would give a quick 20 armies I would thi...

Just saw this.

Per the entry, "One thing I really like: you cannot flank a unit unless you start off behind a line extending from their front edge. Fast units can't just move up and flank units right away."

I think they got this wrong per 44.4 a it is "the enemy stand's side edge"

Bow Levy was very effective for the Poles against Mongols in the Leignitz scenario we ran at Fall In.

SInce they are open order troops we wondered out loud if their movement rate should be maybe a higher than close order hordes and more like rabble. (Pure speculation on our part.)
