Re: Celtic Rabble

We do have shieldless guys at T&R. I'll post a picture when I have a chance.

I do think a couple of shields in a 5 figure group looks fine.

Re: Basing of Rabble

I've also suggested 5 looks more like a Rabble and would be a plus from a figure manufacturer stand point. :-)

Practically I have done a mix of both. I think it depends on the army. In the Lydian expample with so many Rabble stands the 3 look fine to me.

Re: Warrior Point Cost

DS,

Thanks. More figures is good from the T&R stand point even if it does mess up my current armies.

Warrior Point Cost

Putting together some Gallic armies and wondering whether the point cost of Warrirors is still 4 points?

Re: Meshwesh Suggestion

I have had a lot of success cutting and pasting the Meshwesh list into a spreadsheet. I add the costs do the caluclations there. If I want to go back I have a point of reference.

Combat Math Applied

From another thread, I thought it might be interesting to discuss the doubling to kill game mechanic. From some articles from the legacy systems on line game is the excerpt below by By Jason Ehlers. There are interesting implications at the lower end of the factors (1,2) and higher end too (4,5). Th...

Re: Warriors and Pike

DK, Of course I am a weirdo, I loved school. Just giving you fair warning. Perfect answer for 1. Did you go through the historical battles and calculate winning percentages (even at a rough basis due to lack of sources) as part of the overall results testing? Question 2 let me reframe it. How did yo...

Re: Warriors and Pike

Thank DK, exactly the type of explanation I was looking for. But don't expect me to stop asking questions. I was often the only kid in college to go to my professor's office hours. :-) Would the Warrior example be a good one to explain how the historical record plays into your judgements about +1 or...

Re: Warriors and Pike

DK, examples are the best way for us to understand where you guys are going short of a published set of battle cards. Philosophy only takes us so far. Are you guys going to explain the change in warriors from +2 to +1? I recall some early comments supporting +2 when people questioned the change from...
