Re: LSHM Texas

Can't believe I haven't posted since 2021, yikes. Updates: This past year we played a big battle War of Roses battle with 3 players per side with 28mm armies on 80mm frontage bases. Then about a month later we played a massive Viking Raid with the Heathen Army with 5 players per side with 28mm figs ...

Re: Fall Back and Proctected camps

My bad I meant Fortified Camp.
So if I put a skirmish unit in a Fortified Camp, what would its combat factor be?

If a open order unit must Fall Back, it pushes other Open order units instead of passing thru them?

Fall Back and Proctected camps

Battle Card Protected Camp says +2 in addition to normal camp factors does that mean it's +2 and +2? Or Is it a +2 plus cost of defending unit instead of the +1 plus cost of defending unit? Setup my Skirmishers was confused and moved behind 2 of my Pike units in line at an angle. Both Pike units had...

Re: LSHM Texas

The Triumph! community is growing in San Antonio. During my summer school wargaming classes, Triumph! was taught to 12 students aged 10-16. One student's Dad was stationed in England years and played DBA on a regular basis even some games with Mr. Barker. However, since he moved back to the US, hasn...

Roads and Linear terrain

The rules mention how roads work, but when and how are the placed on the tabletop? Are they a terrain feature because they are not in anybody's terrain selection. Prepared defenses, create a linear terrain feature acting like difficult terrain. So how does that work exactly? My unit is in touch the ...

Re: Cataphracts

Howdy David,

Sorry never got back to answering your question if it makes sense. And yes it does, totally forgot I asked the question but have been playing Cats on squares since I asked the question.

So, thank you for the answer, even a year later LOL!

Army Charts

I was looking at the Battle of Hattin photos and saw what looked like army charts for each player. Were those made special for that game or is there a template that can be use to build any army? They looked really cool.

Cataphracts

Just a curious question about the Cataphracts being on a deeper base. When they Fall Back they break contact from their pursuers. I understand them breaking from Foot, but not how they can break off from mounted. They are by nature a heavier armored unit and not agile enough to turn and move away fr...
