Clarification regarding Elephant Screen(s)

Hello, Have you "heard" the one about the new Triumph! player who liked armies with lots of elephants? But seriously . . . Units with elephant screens move at the unit's movement rate or at the elephant's pace? For example, Light Foot with an elephant screen: do they move 5 MU or only 4 MU? Further,...

Chaeronea: Revisited and Revised

CHAERONEA: REVISITED & REVISED Frustrated by numerous attempts to draft a coherent, engaging, and interesting narrative about a recently completed solo wargame wherein a large army led by Hannibal Barca faced off against an equally large army commanded by Pyrrhus of Epirus, I decided to take a day o...

Re: Clarification of Flank Attacks - especially versus supported Pike

Thanks very much!

What took so long? ;)

Thanks again.

Chris

Clarification of Flank Attacks - especially versus supported Pike

Hello and Cheers, Seeking clarification and or confirmation on how to handle melee situations involving supported pike units. If YXX, where Y is the enemy stand and XX are the pike stands, a loss for the pikes would result in a fall back with no other problems, all else being equal and open terrain,...

Lists for HIstorical Refights

Gentlemen, Of late, I have been tinkering or toying with the idea of staging two historical refights. First up: Chaeronea - but with a bit of a twist, having recently read "The Scared Band." Second: Zama In reviewing previous attempts at these battles, I find myself a little hung up or dependent on ...

Re: Tinkering with TRIUMPH!

Rod, Thanks very much for wading through my "essay" and for offering additional remarks, explanations, and comments. Interesting that we both seem to have had the same reaction to the lack of markers. With more time and experience, I imagine that I might grow into Triumph! Time constraints and other...

Tinkering with TRIUMPH!

After reviewing the plethora of categories, this seemed the most logical placement of my "first speech" in this new forum. Members and interested readers are invited to review my amateur efforts and thoughts about first impressions of TRIUMPH! at https://nopaintingrequired.blogspot.com/ Thanks for y...
