Single Stand moving away from ZOC and swivelling

In my recent teaching game the one player felt after he moved a stand directly out of ZOC, that he could swivel the stand to face an enemy at the end of his move . I thought not but allowed him as I was unsure. Checked the Rules. Zoc Rule for this is: 52.1 A stand making a tactical move and starting...

Re: 15mm Greuthungi

These are are relatively new plastic figures which I was given and in fact the only plastics I've painted since I was a kid. However I do have many 30-40yr old metals converted from DBM into DBA and now into, 9x Triumph! 48pt metal armies. Have Marian Roman, Gallic, Ancient British, Parthian, Mithra...

Re: 15mm Greuthungi

Thanks...I guess with a few tweaks and battlecards it could go Fantasy as well. (My Undead & Dark Elves are getting lonely!) It had its debut exposure to battle last Saturday. One 16:14 minor win, vs Mongol, (which was unexpected) and a horrible 19:4 loss to Parthian. Still is, great to get them on ...

15mm Greuthungi

My 48pt Greuthungi are finally done!! The first 15mm army I've painted in 40yrs. Age certainly slows one. This took months whereas my full Gallic DBM army (about 5 times the size), painted in the 1980's, only took me 9 days! Now to work out how to go about fighting with it! Greuthungi painted Dec 20...

Re: Dunes - Uphill or not?

Yes...The Sandworms! (Could make a nice Triumph! Fantasy creature methinks. Staying in 'Away' and then suddenly appearing out the ground!)

BTw Meant to ask... I take it the Camels will still get -1 for being in difficult?

Re: Dunes - Uphill or not?

Thanks for clarifying that David. One guy I'm teaching is attached to his one and only Armored Camel and whatever Dune he can get! (I am teaching two guys in our over 50's complex. One guy is over 80, never come across wargames before and is absolutely loving it!)

Dunes - Uphill or not?

Whilst I find in the Rules that Dunes have the same effect for Visibility, I can't find if they give an uphill advantage as hills do.

Is Uphill Advantage just for Hills or does this also apply to Dunes?

Thanks in advance.

Re: PARTIAL Contact on Side Edge, any Effect?

Again Thankyou. I'm not a Rules Writer and partially understand it but will churn it over and regurgitate it. All I know is out of numerous rulesets I've used Triumph! is a triumph when it comes to rules that truly mean what they say the mean. One final query which you need not reply here, if short ...

Re: PARTIAL Contact on Side Edge, any Effect?

While I'm at it, one more query under this post. Partial Side to Side contact, according to the Rules do have an effect by reducing the opponents factors, (Diagram F5f Page 58) but partial Front to Side contact don't have an effect. Please can you explaining the reasoning for this difference? Thanks...
