Re: Marathon via Zoom
From what I can tell according to the historical account, the Persian setup is too wide. It needs to be deeper and about 2/3rds the width they currently shown in the pics. The Greek Flank Commands should be narrower (thus deeper) and somewhat further away from the Center command allowing them the po...

Re: Marathon via Zoom
Since the battle account mentions that the Hoplites rushed into the Persians (which the Persians did not really anticipate). I have a suggestion for the scenario that you have the special rule that the Athenians, can March move to within 2 MU of the Persians, thus providing the Athenian's the rush i...

My error for total points. I mistakenly counted Bad Cav as 4 Pts.

Re: Battle of Issus - Standard Triumph
Great AAR. Your deployment and OOBs are very plausable as well. I will look into playing your version sometime in the not to distant future with my gaming buddy. My only adjustment would be that the Macedonians have 50 Pts and by my calculations should have a Breakpoint of 17.

Re: Battle of Granacius for Triumph Normal
Looks like it was a fun game. Thanks for posting the report. It would have been likely a tougher fight if the Macedonians had rolled even average rolls.

Re: Two Battle Cards Proposals for battles involving Alexander the Great
I think this is a bit to complicated for a small quick play game. The version of this that I ended up liking is a little different, though I haven't gotten to try it yet. Distributed Command : Select a stand to be a sub-commander (same restrictions as Grand Triumph). That commander has a command ra...

Two Battle Cards Proposals for battles involving Alexander the Great
Both Levy and I found that the Alexandrian Macedonian Army list did not fully reflect the flavor of this time period, especially in historical Normal size Triumph battles (which I have been posting). So Levy first proposed these cards and I have modified them to what I think is a better reflection t...

Re: Sub-commanders in normal 48pt Triumph
I think this models better in GT where you have a much more zoomed in view of the battle. For example in Grand Triumph you have the option to have different sized commands and also to give one commander a +1 bonus (Alexander) at the price of giving another a -1 penalty. I am sure that Levy agrees (...
