Re: What does TOWARD mean? (52.2.c).
Ah, I think I see your point -- you're saying that you're moving into ZOC using a bizarre version of 52.2.c, so the last sentence of 52.2.d doesn't apply to you? Yes, you right. That's sort of like telling your spouse "I am on the way to get groceries" when she catches you at the bar watching go-go...

Re: What does TOWARD mean? (52.2.c).
But what about this?#1 is legal but stupid.
Is it still legal? If so, then ZOC does not protect a friendly stand from a flanking charge, which breaks some tactics.

Re: Flanking groups
I agree that any troops are vulnerable to flank attacks. However, in this case, it turns out that cavalry - light cavalry included - is much more vulnerable than slow-moving heavy foots. It seems unrealistic to me, since in an open formation there is less difference between the front and the flank, ...

Flanking groups
Hello. I found one geometrical feature that seems strange to me. When the stand in group is flanked, beaten and forced to fall back, then it has to turn face to the enemy and fall back. If it's impossible, the stand is destroyed. However, the opportunity to fall back depends on the depth of the stan...

Re: Front side overlapping
Anyway, I think that the rules should contains restriction on this case. For example, 68.2 A stand overlaps an enemy stand by corner contact if all the following apply: ... d. Overlapped edge hasn't enemy in front contact with it Or somevere: If stand is in front contact with enemy, his front side c...

Re: Front side overlapping
Ok, guys, I understand how it should be in this case. My message is than following the rules verbatim gives another solution.
According 68.1 a: Any edge that is overlapped by corner contact. Including front edge, on wich the stand is fighting. It's illogical, but conforms to the rules.

Re: Front side overlapping
Yes, I can only count one penalty on one side. But in my case I overlap two sides - flank by C and front by B.

Front side overlapping
I found very strange situation, that looks like following the rules verbatim is against common sense. https://sun9-4.userapi.com/impf/bwPkdVxVAcspJPxoQ0Ng_HtPXuNLdKbmX6sxXA/IQTye4jYKz0.jpg?size=454x340&quality=96&proxy=1&sign=28d7bfb6d8b8a15735fb44056dbb5d9c&type=album Stand C overlaps a flank of D,...
