Re: Close order foot on 20mm deep stands...

It's an additional thing to measure (15mm vs. 20mm) during the game, but you should go with it until you can/want to rebase. I'd suggest having a couople of blank 15mm deep bases to use help in the measurement process

Right, you couldn't do that more than once or twice a game with good command dice results.

Re: 2 Questions re: Historical Accuracy Rivers & Deployment

I would say the rule I experiment the most with is the command points rule. I love the simplicity of the 6 sided die and the variation it brings, it helps make every game tense. But that being said, it does cause certain conservative behaviors that don't look all that historic to me on the table top...

Re: 15mm Mounted Halflings?

Ed at Battle Valor is making 15mm halfling cavalry on horses, foxes and pigs. He’s also sculpting halfling additions in 28mm for our Fantasy line and these will be on traditional ponies. The splintered light figures that I have are a bit bigger so I think they might match up fine, but doesn’t it rea...

Re: 2 Questions re: Historical Accuracy Rivers & Deployment

I can’t add anything to what Rod and David have commented on the game itself. But I can give you my perspective as a historical gamer, interested in historical battles rather than the tournament game. I believe the Triumph! Authors have brought the DBA core model to its logical best. What it does it...
