Re: Spartacon Hastings Battle

They have 6 which is double the allotted amount.

With a couple rabble they have something to play in the woods against the Saxon Skirmishers and or keep them from flanking. One extra knight lets them make a mistake.

Re: LOTR Army Lists for TRIUMPH!

Bill, I modelled my Battle Lore High elves on the LOTR movie scenes (not necessarily Cannon). I went for Pavise as the main troop with some Elite Foot. For the mounted I actually used Cataphracts because it seemed like the Elves were more likely to be well protected and less reckless (i.e. not knigh...

Re: Spartacon Hastings Battle

Actually the Normans did well in play testing and at Fall In, more experienced players. However at flintcon I am thinking about adding a couple rabble for Eustace and Odo (to play on the flanks) and maybe one extra stand of Knights for William. It allows them the extra points to make a mistake and s...

Re: Spartacon Hastings Battle

Round two was much closer with some nail biting moments on both sides. Initially Odo's command performed a perfect attack pulling Saxon units off the hill and setting up a decisive charge. Spartacon Hastings Battle

just some eye candy from last Saturday. Round one the Normans push hard but cannot pull the Saxons out of formation ultimately their attack stalls and the Saxons win the day.

Actually you can upload them directly to this site as attachments.

At the bottom of the page you should see two tabs, Options and Attachments. Click attachments and then add files. There is a size and number limit.

Re: Shattered vs. Destroyed

Essentially yes, some troop types shatter others, which means they are killed if beaten by 1 point. They do not pursue unless they are a unit that always pursues like knights.

All units pursue if they double an opponent and destroy it or cause it to fallback, panic or, flee.

Re: Hussite Battles

Some of the things we learned playing these Hussite battles. 1. Narrowing the front for the Hussites was very effective in limiting the enemy options when facing superior mounted. 2. Artillery, while creating a possible vulnerable spot in the front line, was also effective at putting pressur on the ...

Re: Hussite Battles

Too many Hungarians in the narrow slot between the village and the Horsebow attack frontally trying to get the artillery failed. Fortress Hussite held out again.
