Re: Hussite Battles

Some of the things we learned playing these Hussite battles. 1. Narrowing the front for the Hussites was very effective in limiting the enemy options when facing superior mounted. 2. Artillery, while creating a possible vulnerable spot in the front line, was also effective at putting pressur on the ...

Re: Hussite Battles

The knights tried skirting the artillery seeing how deadly it could be to mounted. Unfortunately the Hussite player was able to wheel and cut off this approach.

The Hungarians burned command points to try and skirt the village.

Re: Hussite Battles

The next battle was Hussites vs. Later Hungarians. The Later Hungarians were Horsebow and Knights. With their flanks secure the Hungarians were having ...

Re: Hussite Battles

The Artillery gets off a lucky shot killing one knight and the war wagons on the right flank with help from some mounted crossbow (bad horse) manage to kill two more knights. In the end the German foot tries to close, but it is too late by the time they do and the Hussites hold off the Germans. Huss...

Hussite Battles

Some recent shots from two Hussite battles. The first battle is Hussites Vs. German Princes.

The Hussites deploy with a stream on one side which helps limit attacks on one flank. The Germans attempt a sweep on the opposite flank using knights.

Re: how to play war wagons?

The other issue I see with the Warwagons is that it is nearly impossibe to go offensive if your opponent decides to hold back. I have used the alternating wagon setup in the past, will see how it works this week and report back. I Have a lot of Hussite Warwagons (a lot), planning to do a test run of...

Re: Eastern Forest Americans

I believe this came up in another thread and DK is working on it, but they are slightly lower on the priority list.

Obviously they have themselves as enemies :)
