Re: Battle of Issus - Standard Triumph

Keep in mind that is the standard tournament style rules, and we use a similar mechanism for the tournament GT version for determining the demoralization of a command. In the larger game not all forces are necessarily 48 points, some can be smaller or larger. We find that usually that 1/3 break poin...

Re: Battle of Issus - Standard Triumph

Actually you round up for break point, sort of because you can't kill a .3333 of a stand. So if you have a 49 point force it must lose more than 16 points to break it (16.333333333). So if the enemy has destroyed exactly 16 points for example, they need to destroy one more stand of anything even rab...

Re: Deployment

You have to place 24 points in the center, prioritizing any that are designated Battle Line first.

The priority is listed under 27.2 under deployment.

After you meet the 24 in the center requirement you can place anywhere up to 8 MU forward.

Re: Sub-commanders in normal 48pt Triumph

Obviously no reason not to try it on your own and see what you think, but I would encourage trying it straight up as well for comparison.

Remember my point about the line of pike might still be in command even if the opposite end is out of range.

Re: Sub-commanders in normal 48pt Triumph

I think this models better in GT where you have a much more zoomed in view of the battle. For example in Grand Triumph you have the option to have different sized commands and also to give one commander a +1 bonus (Alexander) at the price of giving another a -1 penalty. At the 48 point game, if you ...

Re: Komnenan reformed list question

The whole point of an online army list is that adjustments can be made to the army lists if you can get past the gate keeper, which usually means find a credible source that provides a good example of what you are asking to add to change.
