Re: 15mm Xyston Persian Satrapal Guard
Yes, those sound like they might -- the horses are half-armored, and the riders are wearing armored pantaloons.Texus Maximus wrote: ↑Sun Apr 06, 2025 7:10 pmI MAY have some of the Old Glory version. Horses with scale barding in front and riders with scale leg armor, would those work?

15mm Xyston Persian Satrapal Guard
Hey all, Anyone in the US have a bag of 15mm Xyston Persian Satrapal Guard (ANC20068) that they aren't using? I need them to refurb my Later Achaemenid Persians (to provide a second stand of Elite Cavalry, and rebase my legacy General's stand as JavCav), but I don't really want to buy a single bag f...

Re: Rabble & Bow Levy increase movement by 1Mu?
Since then we have played it as a Club rule, (i.e. Rabble from 3 to 4Mu & Bow Levy from 2 to 3Mu), but before I change measuring sticks, come across out of Club players etc would appreciate some confirmation that this movement change will be indeed the case. You have a point about massed volleys. Archery was presitigious in India, but I am not seeing actual mentions of it having effect on the battlefield. Right, exactly. Heroes and gods are mentioned doing phenomenal archery (and phenomenal other things), but massed infantry are mostly spectators to ac...

Re: Some thoughts on Indian Archery . . .
Indian archers were using longbows, drawing back to the ear and were a prestigious part of the army. They clearly should be Archer/Shooter. Longbow, recurve, self bow, or whatever has nothing to do with it. What draw weight? What evidence for them firing massed volleys at great distance? What evide...
