Re: TRIUMPH! Events at Cold Wars 2019

Eight players at the pre-event Crusades tournament last night, plus two more who were playing on the side due to arriving later (DS and a new guy, Mike). Farthest Traveler Award goes to Terry Griner, from Spokane! I love the variety of armies in this theme. I took Later Crusaders (I had brought Fati...

Another W-G infiltrator in the Xi Xia list: "Shen pi nu" in the final troop-type should be pinyin "Shenbi nu".
Why can't all these ancient Asian peoples speak Canadian? :x

Re: Tolkein Dwarves by Vendel

Those are all based on 60mm wide bases; I'm going to be rebasing them to 80mm bases in a few months when I have their reinforcements painted up.

Tolkein Dwarves by Vendel

Here's a bunch of pics of my Tolkein Dwarves by Vendel, as requested by Bill Hupp (who, with Brian Caskey, is now the proud owner of Vendel Minis). All figures painted by me, mostly about 15 years ago. My painting is still good, but my eyesight is no longer at the level where I paint the whites of t...

Re: LOTR Army Lists for TRIUMPH!

DK, if you could post up some of your pics on Facebook that would be great! Maybe on Friday (tomorrow I teach all day). Never buy a camera smarter than you are. Couldn't get the damn thing to take pictures, and I've run out of time this morning. I have to read the manual to get my camera restarted....

Re: LOTR Army Lists for TRIUMPH!

DK, if you could post up some of your pics on Facebook that would be great! Tried to do that around noon (it's a snow day for me); found my camera battery was dead and has been recharging since. Still hope to get some pics before daylight leaves, but it's 4pm already, so not sure that'll happen tod...

Re: Base Sizes

If you are supplying all the armies for your friends, the game will work mostly fine. Mounted and certain other stands (Rabble, Horde, Elephants) will not be killed if they are hit in the flank and turned while part of a big line in your basing system. You won't be able to tell the difference betwee...

Re: LOTR Army Lists for TRIUMPH!

Paul Potter has delivered the first 2 batches of figures. Hurrah! I’m basing them up and the 80mm basing works great. The only thing we are doing different than the norm is using 5 goblins rather than 3 on a rabble base. A 3 figure stand makes a pretty pathetic looking rabble. Bill If those are the...

Re: Hard copy publication

Any info yet on when a hard copy will be available? -Paul Hey Paul! We're working through the last issues with our graphic design dude currently; we hope to have the final version with all fine pictures maybe in March. The cover art is still only in concept/draft mode and we've started the search f...
