Re: Deployment

If you have a mixture of close combat infantry and archers, is it better to intersperse the archers or to keep the archers together? You get as many answers to that as you have generals, I expect. Rod's answer is good, but that's not what I do. My answer is "it depends". Intersperse locks you in to...

Re: Fall In! tournaments

Is there a plan for this November? Saturday night is a 15mm Open Tournament (any legal army) as usual. Friday night is a Theme Tournament: Eastern Europe, Western Steppes. Armies of the Baltic, northern Balkans, Eastern Europe, and Western Steppes. Any armies from Early to Late Medieval who fought ...

Re: Deployment

It's a complex question, because so many of these issues interact with each other. Terrain by itself is complex. A village on one flank, close enough to impede you. Do you use it (with open order troops) as a pivot for a mounted sweep around it? Do you attack through it with strength? Do you screen ...

Re: 15mm Tamil Indian

I like the detail work; was it done with Micron pens? Some yes, some no. For example, on the center elephant howdah, the blue dots surrounding the flower and the orange outlining on the flower and the stalk of the plant are all Micron pens; everything else is acrylic. The red dots on the general's ...

15mm Tamil Indian

Hi all, Jack and I just took a lot of pictures of my figs for interior illustrations in upcoming Triumph books (Print-on-Demand Grand Triumph, Campaign Books, Scenario Books). Here's one of them that he just finished post-processing, of the Elephant Parade from my Tamil Indians. The image will show ...

Re: Sparta vs. Athens

Really cool battle and report! Maybe a minor math error -- Spartans lost two heavy foot, two horde, and a camp -- my math makes that 18, not 20? Unless the camp was defended by a 2-pt stand? Similarly, one Athenian heavy foot is 3 pts, so it looks like the final score should have been 18-3? Wouldn't...

Re: 15mm Lord of the Rings Figures

Army List. Friend of mine has inherited some Dwarves and is trying to work out a List. (Shall I find out exactly what he has or can you just send me all 3 Lists and he works from those?) Sorry for the confusion -- I've created army lists for everyone from the beginning of the Second Age onwards. He...

Absolutely stunning! I'm overwhelmed. BTW: Am looking for a 48pt Dwarven List. Do you perhaps have?
Army list, or figures? If the army list, I've created a whole bunch (complete set, for the whole Third Age and late part of the Second Age) of Tolkein army lists.
