Re: Another Terrain Question for GRAND TRIUMPH

Gentlemen, Trying to figure out how many pieces and placement of terrain for a 144 point game . . . Looking over the relevant sections of GT and referring back to T, I could not find specifics. As my table is divided into 12 zones, 6 on one side and 6 on the other, do I use 2 terrain cards? If yes,...

Re: Thoughts on Army building

My Necromancer/Undead army (80mm basing) has the following stands: Necromancer. Pavise, Major Mindblast, Deadly, Armored, Marksman. The ranged attacks are his minor spells (no diff in the game). 11.5 pts! Necromancer on Skeletal Pegasus: Elite Cavalry, Flying Fast, Minor Mindblast. Skeletal Giant. K...

Spirits/Ghosts/Banshees - Not really sure where to go with these??
A powerful dead spirit could be a Hero with Terror and Delayed Entry (appears after it has been summoned). Maybe Elusive also.

Re: Thoughts on Army building

Hey Robert, I like your thoughts. If you have Massed Zombies, Horde is good. As you say, don't go with Slow -- they're slow enough already. Horde Fierce is fun for Zombies, though. You can have dispersed Skellies as Light Foot with Slow. Armored Skellies as Hvy Foot works for me. I've got like four ...

Re: Command limitations, etc.

If you're having trouble internalizing the rule, think of it this way, and maybe it will help. If you're giving orders to a stand, all you need is for some part of the stand to be within command control range, and the whole stand can be given orders for cheap. Even if part of the stand extends beyon...

Re: Command limitations, etc.

If you move the whole group forward conservatively, and include a single heavy foot that is within the command control range (and is also part of the moving group in the normal legal way), then it costs only one command point because the group (the MOVING group) is within command control. This stat...

Re: Command limitations, etc.

[/size]Let us say that I don't want these heavy foot or rabble to dance around (salsa, hip-hop, crunk, break-dance or whatever), I just want them to move with the group. I gather from the last part of your statement that these units are out of control even if they started off as part of the larger ...

Re: Command limitations, etc.

If the Spartan general is placed as the second stand on the right, a 16 MU command distance will leave 4 units of heavy foot and the rabble outside of his command. Or, since all the units are in a group, will they count as in command? You seem to be structuring your thinking about command control a...

Re: grand triumph allied general

For Grand Triumph Does the allied general element have to be an element that is a designated general type in the allied army list? The generals of the other main army commands may be of any troop type except: a. The general may not be Skirmishers, Rabble, or Artillery unless the command contains no...

Re: waterslide shield transfers for Ming and Nanzhou

I am looking forward to seeing these. I don't have any armies from this part of the world, but seeing those Eureka figures and having nice decals is certainly tempting. I've got a Warring States army that needs refurb from a legacy system; I've got Javanese and Ming and Yuan and Post-mongol Samurai...
