Re: Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms

Hey Andreas, Turns out that I had done some work on this back soon after you pointed out the inaccuracies to me, but I had later forgotten (and never posted anything about it here). In the realm of naming purification, the new version is as follows: OLD NAME → NEW NAME Northern Five Dynasties → Late...

Re: Rabble in Hoplite Armies

DK, I like that approach. And you find the armies for sale exactly as you state - mixed shields and single theme shields (usually Spartan.) In additon to needing rabble, in buying a DBA hoplite army you need more hoplites as heavy foot at 3 points requires a couple more to get the point total up to...

Re: Rabble in Hoplite Armies

My original question was just to see what others had done with their legacy Classical Greek armies. As a frequent buyer of DBA, FOG and other system’s armies, Greek Classical armies are some of the most common and inexpensive armies to purchase. They are very useful and can stand in for a lot of ar...

Re: Battle Card suggestion regarding Mongols

Speaking of Battle Cards, are they in use yet? Available? Can't seem to find the answer after a search or I am just old and blind. :D Those two possibilities are not exclusive -- I've known you for years, and every year you get older! We're waiting on releasing them for beta testing (for free, to e...

My wife and I will play doubles.
Loanwarrior -- sorry, I don't know who you are? (at a guess, you might be William Robinson or Tim Hladon -- the other two candidates for playing Grand Triumph doubles with their wife have names I recognize on this forum)

Re: TRIUMPH! Events at Historicon 2019!

There is some discussion on Fbook of the possibility of running a Grand Triumph Doubles tournament, possibly on Saturday. We have enough interest that the event will probably succeed, but we'd like to gauge an approximation of how many teams we would expect. People who are solidly interested, please...

Re: TRIUMPH! Events at Historicon 2019!

David, are you going to publish these scenarios like you did with "The Embattled Isle"? In the fullness of time, we will have on the order of five or six scenario books. They were nearly complete four or five years ago; they're waiting on the publication of the Triumph print rules before we have ti...

Re: Hotlead

Excellent!

Is it just me, or do all the players look more polite than those at conventions South of the Border? :)

Re: Rabble in Hoplite Armies

Thanks DK. That is exactly the picture I was thinking about in the Osprey book after reading your first reply. Excellent. I think the only point of disagreement is a belief on my part that people commonly use a practical 'anchoring' technique in their thinking. For gamers it is anchoring from one g...
