Re: New Battle Card - Inferior
Not in tournament, where things need to be stricter for balanced play. But in casual play, you can mix Standard Triumph and Fantasy Triumph quite easily. Many fantasy battle cards can make sense in historical situations. If you recreating a historical battle, you may need to create your own special ...

Re: New Battle Card - Inferior
People who want to minmax should play a different game. Any build-a-unit system is going give you the opportunity to minmax. Players should not have a Pavisier with Brittle, Slow & Fierce that would cost only 1 point.

Re: Magnesia with TRIUMPH!
I actually tried to refight the battle on the Seleucid left. I wasn't able to replicate the historical results. The way that the attack on the scythed chariots and the Arab camel archers disorganized the Seleucid cataphracts simply does not work. Even with the chariots and camels destroyed the Seleu...

What is the measure of a Man? (on a horse)
When converting historical battles to Triumph, I have been making the assumption that a unit of infantry represents twice as many men as a unit of cavalry. Re: Help with lake trasimene refight
Maybe limit the number of command points the Romans get to being no more than the turn#, given the total surprise achieved. For a historical scenario (as opposed to a tournament game) you may want increase the number of points required to break a command from 16 to 24. Most ancient battles were foug...

Looking for a gridded battle mat
I am looking for a gridded battle mat, with a 10 or 20mm grid. Can anyone suggest a source?
I have a nice battle mat with a 1" grid, 2' x 3', but metric is better for Triumph.
