Re: Destroyed if beaten by flanking?

Don't get me wrong. The only problem I had with the flanking rules was their heavy penalties against deep units of warrior and light spear.

Overall, I think the way flanking is handled is fantastic just like pretty much everything else in the game. I've been enjoying it immensely

Re: Maccabean Enemies?

Those are the only ones that I know of. Out of curiosity, you have mentioned several times the need to update the data shown on Meshwesh. Is that a really complex process? I would think that it would be a simple command line to push the data out, but I have no idea how it was built. Not asking for a...

Re: Destroyed if beaten by flanking?

DK had it right. I was asking about the front element being unable to turn leading to its destruction. My main problem was in my own internal "vision" about what is happening on the battlefield. I see warriors and light spear receiving rear support as simply deeper formations rather than elements be...

Destroyed if beaten by flanking?

As written, a supported light spear or warrior element will be destroyed if beaten by a flanking element. Is this intended and if so it seems like a pretty severe weakness compared to other troop types.

Maccabean Enemies?

There are no enemies listed for the Maccabean Jewish (either flavor).

It reminds me of the old slogan, "Suppose they gave a war and nobody came"...

When?

Out of curiosity, when will those of us not able to attend East Coast conventions be able to see the battle cards you've worked out so far. I know that you all have other things to take up your time (such as non-game designing jobs), but I really like the game so far and would like to get a better i...

Re: Triumph! and search engines

I searched for pretty much the same terms that you did. My concern was that most people are not very good at searches. "Triumph!" doesn't get much. "Triumph game" gets mostly Triumph and Treachery. "Triumph ancients" gets a lot of articles on Roman triumphs... Most of this will become less important...

Re: Meshwesh minor errors and typos

The Maccabean Jewish Trained Army lists general as being Knights, raiders or light infantry. There are no light infantry.

Triumph! and search engines

I've found "Triumph!" to be very hard to search for. Triumph is fairly common even in game names and most search engines ignore punctuation (i.e.,"!").

Do you think this will be a problem for you going forward?

Re: Rabble Movement Rate

Do you have a particular historical interaction with Rabble fighting against Spear (infantry rated as Spear in Triumph!, I mean) upon which you are focused? Arguments based purely upon theory aren't as compelling as arguments based upon historical interaction with a particular army. I don't offhand...
