Re: Meshwesh minor errors and typos continued (from Oct 5, 2021)

The date restriction for bombards in the Wallachian or Moldavian list is weird: "1401 AD to 1517 AD only Moldavian after 1400; or Wallachian after 1455". The first bit seems superfluous. How would you word it? The army list applies to Moldavians (who can have artillery from 1401) and to Wallachians...

The Navarrese list has the general listed as:

If Present Knights
Otherwise Spear
Otherwise Light Foot

but during the period where Spear are available Knights are compulsory, so you can never have a Spear general.

The Solomonic Ethiopian list has two entries for "Elamaya bowmen", both as Archers and with the same date restriction, so they ought be combined into a single entry.

The "Diadachoii in Macedon" list has been hit by the typo fairy - the Greek word for Successors is, depending on transcription and latinization preferences, Diadochi, Diadochoi, or Diadokhoi (the online frequency of the three variants being roughly 100:10:1).

The Vijayanagar list allows Elite Cavalry and Artillery until AD 1565, but the list itself ends in AD 1510.

Re: Meshwesh minor errors and typos continued (from Oct 5, 2021)

The Ancient British list has it's manoeuvre rating increased to two "Under Caswallon 55-54 BC or Caradoc 43-51 AD", but the Cassivellaunus All Mounted list has a manoeuvre rating of one. I guess he might have lost his tactical acumen when sending the infantry home, but it looks like a slip. Also, th...

Re: Persian colonists and chalybes

I don't think we actually know anything about what the colonist cavalry looked like, but they were of various ethnicities, so you may want to depict them accordingly (Duncan Head mentions Jewish, Arab, Syrian, and Indian units settled in Babylonia). Alternatively, they may have adopted Persian style...

Nice to hear from you again, Andreas -- it's been many months, IIRC.
Thanks. I'm doing fine but have had little time for wargaming of any kind this year.
