Chariot Supremacy!
A Triumph! Campaign Theme Event
Rules: TRIUMPH!
15mm, 4+ rounds, 24 total players
Massed levies huddle; linen-armored warriors swing bronze sickle-swords as chariot-riding nobles in gilded armor hurtle across the battlefield, their composite bows sending arrows that slay like darts from Apep himself.
Be Thutmosis IV, greatest warrior-pharoah of Egypt, or Ramses the Great, who got his butt kicked at Qadesh and rewrote history to make it a great victory. Be Muwatalli fighting Ramses, or Suppiluliuma conquering the Mitanni. It is the era of Chariot Supremacy. Mighty God-Kings send their chariot arrays sweeping across the plain, striking terror into the foe. Surely warfare will never be more advanced!
Plus, things are turning to crap.
Loaner armies available for players with PEL tickets, those PEL slots are intended for newbies. Otherwise, please pre-register online on the TRIUMPH forum where specific army lists for the campaign are listed:

Friday 2PM-6PM - Grand Triumph Epic Conflict – Battle at Nicaea - 144pt. Grand Triumph games for 6 players (3 per side) featuring a historical pair. 6 players learning Triumph with 1 GM. Seljuq Turk vs. Early Crusader
Sponsor: Washington Grand Company (http://www.wgcwar.com)
Duration: 4 hours
Event Scale: 28mm
Rules Used: TRIUMPH! fast play ancient and medieval battles
Maximum Players: 6
Description: May 1097AD- the second wave of the First Crusade besieged the city of Nicaea, capital of the Rum Turk Empire. Kilij Arslan had already crushed the rag tag “army” that was the first wave or the People’s Crusade. These earliest crusaders were so easily defeated that when the second wave showed up he did not think it could possibly be much of a threat. This was a horrible miscalculation! The second wave of crusaders was not just a bunch of peasants and pilgrims. It was led by some of the most powerful and ambitious warlords of Europe; leading powerful armies of mounted knights. Now under siege, Nicaea sends an urgent plea for help and Kilij Arslan answers with a massive mounted force of his own. These two forces meet outside the walls of Nicaea in the largest mounted battle of the First Crusade.

Sponsor: Washington Grand Company (http://www.wgcwar.com)
Duration: 4 hours
Event Scale: 15mm
Rules Used: TRIUMPH! fast play ancient and medieval battles
Maximum Players: 6
Description: 1231BC- The Nine Bows were acting under the leadership of the king of Libya and an associated near-concurrent revolt in Canaan involving Gaza, Ashkelon, Yenoam and the people of Israel. Exactly which peoples were consistently in the Nine Bows is not clear, but present at the battle were the Libyans, some neighboring Meshwesh, and possibly a separate revolt in the following year involving peoples from the eastern Mediterranean. The first lines of the Karnak inscription include some sea peoples at the battle. The Egyptian Pharoah Merneptah then receives news that the wretched, fallen chief of Libya, Meryey, son of Ded, had fallen upon the country of Tehenu with his bowmen. Taking the best of every warrior and every man of war of his country, Meryey had brought his wife and his children – leaders of the camp, and he had reached the western boundary in the fields of Perire, a city on the western part of the delta.

Sponsor: Washington Grand Company (http://www.wgcwar.com)
Duration: 4 hours
Event Scale: 15mm
Rules Used: TRIUMPH! fast play ancient and medieval battles
Maximum Players: 6
Description: 27 July 1214AD- The battle of Bouvines, 1214 AD, pitted the Royal French Army of Philip Augustus against a coalition of his Breton, Flemish, English, and German foes, led by Otto IV, Holy Roman Emperor. The French victory led to the final dissolution of the Angevin Empire of the Plantegenets, and shook King John of England's power sufficiently that he had to agree to the demands of his Barons and sign the Magna Carta. Also on the losing side, Otto IV was overthrown within 18 months by a rival as Holy Roman Emperor. Whereas Philip Augustus used his victory to create the strong centralized French monarchy that would survive in power until the French Revolution.
