Wish I could be there and return your "roo" dice! Ask Greg and Mark. They'll know. :D

This will be my first time playing Triumph! Looking forward to it. I'm assuming matched historical pairs Stephen. You'll have to make the trip Frank and DS. You would be more than welcome.

Cheers,

Oops,I just checked out the link. Historical pairs it is.

Yes, it is Historical pairs using a 900 x 600 board.

It would be great to have some overseas players attend.

I could even provide a silver MOAB 2016 dice to add to your collection.

Note: I have changed the date to the 13th of August.

The Soccer club will be hosting a Gala day on the 20th which would make it very hard to find a place to park.

Ok I've selected my two armies for my first game of Triumph! I'm looking to keep it simple with Late Spartans versus Late Athenians. Looking forward to giving it a try. BTW Stephen, how many are expected?

It will be great to see you Greg. I will be there with Bridget and Nicholas. Nicholas is also bringing his friend Andrew.

I don't expect to win many games Adrian. I see it more as a learning exercise than anything else.

Well today I had my first experience with Triumph! All in all I enjoyed it. After 5 games I won 2, lost 2 and had 1 drawn game. Some of the interactions proved to be interesting and there were enough similarities with DBA for me not to feel completely lost. Hopefully I'll have more games in the near future. Thanks to all my opponents and to Stephen Webb for running such a great day.

Cheers,
Greg in the antipodes.
