Re: Question Regarding Rule 10.5 in Triumph Fantasy - Flying and Fallback
Hi all, I'm seeking clarification on Rule 10.5 in the Triumph Fantasy book. Specifically, I'd like to understand what happens when a stand with the "flying" attribute is forced to fall back but is in rear or flank contact with an non-flying enemy stand. Does the flying stand get destroyed, or does ...

Re: Charge Through Battlecard Query
Thank you David. That clears it up. Rather risky I think, as there is no 'Recoil Through' (the Close Foot again) for Knights who've been beaten. Will take some careful planning. Sure, but heavy foot (or Pavises) do not block pushback. So as long as you're not beaten after charging through elephants...

Re: Charge Through Battlecard Query
Re: Charge Through. (A) "1 point for each battle card; up to a maximum of 2x" Is the 1 point cost for individual stands (i.e. 1 point/stand) or for all stands of that type? (B)"The battle card is expended when used and may not be used again." If for all Stands then if I purchase x2, can one 'Charge...

LOTR Army Lists for FT
Hi all, I'm creating a set of Third Age army lists for Middle Earth; I'm looking for a few enthusiastic and well-read scholars to discuss the LOTR army lists with me. Requirements are: Enthusiastic about Tolkein, and well-read in the genre. If you aren't aware that the Numenoreans had little or no c...

Re: Tactics to protect my open flank...
So, Triumph, like other position-oriented ancient battle games [no names mentioned...] uses the tension of numbers v. command control to create problems for the player; the classic issue being an open flank, where one's opponent is even just 1 Unit wider and overlapping your own line. Given that it...

Re: Fall In 2023?
My buddy Karl and I are looking to head down to Fall In this year with 15mm Romans and Tibetans. Are there any plans for an open tournament? 15mm Open will be on Saturday evening. Friday evening will have a "Plate and Handgonne" thematic category tournament -- armies after 1400 AD from the Plate an...

Re: Ancient British BC9 DISMOUNTING MID-BATTLE? Battle Card
Just one more query on this topic... In 'Dismounting at Deployment' there is still 1 point needed. Why? All that seems to happen is at deployment 2 BTaxis are replaced by 2 Warriors. Is it having the ability to choose one or the other, depending on terrain, opponent etc the advantage to justify thi...

Re: Bits & Bobs
DK, Not sure of the problem here, as the link to LIvy allows one to click arrows so as to go forwards and backwards in the narrative account, but here are the sections or chapters that I think apply to the vexing challenge of modeling scythed chariots, generally, on an ancient battlefield: http://w...
