Re: Counsels of perfection ;-)

Meshwesh - 1 - Mayhaps to the list of Thematic Categories could be added the beginning/ending dates for 'that era'. I ask myself, each time, is 'Middle Kingdom' before or after 'Mandate of Heaven', and usually guess wrong. 2 - And maybe list the Thematic Categories chronologically instead of alphab...

Re: Counsels of perfection ;-)

Now it was the case that I was bringing an Early German army to ye open tourney, and could not be called a disinterested party here, but methinks a post in 'Product Discussion' headlining "Warriors Point Value Revised - Army Lists Changed" would not have been a waste of electrons. Sorry t...

Re: Counsels of perfection ;-)

Some minor suggestions that methinks you've thought of already... Thanks, John. All reasonable suggestions. #3 may not work -- what you mean is "revised since last I looked at it seriously", which is in the eye of the beholder (depends upon the observer). That means that one person will w...

Re: Army list as XML

Probably not, Stan. We want to keep control over the master lists, in case we decide changes are required, or to fix errors or omissions. And we definitely do NOT want to have dozens of special-purpose lists out there where advocates of particular changes or interpretations put out their own lists i...

Re: Pelennor Field at Fall In! 2017

Does anyone have any advice on good (and inexpensive) Trebuchet models in 28mm? Don't need to be superhuge. I want them to represent the siege engines used to rain fire and severed heads into Minas Tirith. I can paint and base the orc crew, but I need the trebuchets.

Re: Chariot Supremacy! Campaign Theme for Cold Wars (March 2018)

Still too early for signups on this one, but I'm copying it forward so it is in people's minds again since we'll be submitting it for the PEL soon. For anyone who has only one army (or has the firm intent to paint their first army within this theme for the event), as always if you let us know in adv...

Re: Optional general's type again

I was looking at the Melukhkhan and Pre-Vedic Indian list, which "General's Troop Type: Light Spear", "Spearmen: Light Spear or Heavy Foot: 1-8", and no other troops that can be Light Spear. Do I understand correctly that this means that if I take at least one element of spearme...

Re: Pelennor Field at Fall In! 2017

The event was exhausting (especially packing and unpacking the figures), but quite successful. Spencer took a bunch of piccies (I couldn't) and was the only command of Rohirrim unbusted in the end, but the forces of the West prevailed.

Hey, I see Larry in the back, reading the paper!
